Websites can send notifications about news, comments, updates, and other events. Usually, websites request permission to send notifications, but sometimes they can do this without permission. In the Yandex Browser beta version, you can allow or block notifications from a particular site or even forbid all websites to offer you to send notifications.

The first time you open a site that sends notifications to users, Yandex Browser will ask whether you want to accept or block notifications from that site. After you allow or block notifications, the Get notifications from this site option will appear in the Protect panel, and the icon will appear in the SmartBox.

Block notifications from site

In the notification, click  → Prevent <site> from sending notifications.

Prevent sites from suggesting notifications

  3. In the Requests to send notifications section, enable the Don't show requests option.

After that, websites will not suggest notifying you anymore. Sites that you have already allowed to send notifications will continue sending them. You need to block notifications separately for each site.
